加拿大白求恩协会和中国河北省人民对外友好协会举办“白求恩精神永放光芒-我心中的白求恩”征文活动在中加两国正式开幕启动 。
近日加拿大白求恩协会在加拿大温哥华举办了新闻发布会向加拿大媒体介绍了本次活动的具体情况 新闻发布会由加拿大白求恩协会创会会长，加拿大天津社团联合总会荣誉主席，谷世安主持并致开幕词。

谷世安医生特别强调并不是只有中国人民怀念白求恩 纪念白求恩传扬白求恩精神 实际上白求恩是中加两国人民共同的英雄。加拿大政府出巨资筹建了白求恩故居纪念馆并多次扩建。白求恩故居纪念馆网站是加拿大政府官方网站中唯一一个用中英文双语的。这在加拿大所有的名人中都是罕见的。加拿大的主流社会都认为白求恩是加拿大全民医疗制度的奠基人。加拿大的医学界也有各种各样的论坛组织等纪念白求恩发明流动输血等有益于全人类的贡献同时白求恩也是中加两国人民友谊的桥梁 中加建交中加两国人民的友谊交往都有白求恩影响的佳话。
白求恩加拿大白求恩协会理事，加拿大赛区组委会主席朱重璠详细介绍了本次活动的具体内容注意事项等。加拿大华人社团联席会主席发言 代表协办单位和加拿大华人社团表示要积极支持和参与本次活动。加拿大BC中文协会会长王满霞作为协办单位之一 代表了大温地区的中文教育机构热情参与本次活动。认为对青少年保持中国传统文化 传扬白求恩精神意义重大。该协会近10名校长参与了新闻发布会。为发布会增添了色彩 蓬荜生辉。加拿大京城文化会会长。著名华人社区活动家发言 盛赞这次活动的必要和及时。将发动京城子弟积极参与。加拿大著名女作家。加拿大华侨史研究专家。作为活动的评委之一相信 此次活动不但对青少年而且对华人社区保持中国文化促进中加两国人民的友谊都很有意义。陈子歆加拿大汉语水（HSK）测试中心主考 前电视台电台主持人表示将认真把关借此机会 把加拿大华人青少年的中文学习热潮进一步推动提高。两名加拿大的青少年学生代表陈建聪 陈雨菲代表加拿大华裔青少年发言 希望能通过这次活动更加了解白求恩 更加了解中国文化 为中加两国人民的友谊做出自己的贡献 参会的数十家媒体争相提问对这次活动表示赞许。
加拿大著名外科医生及国际主义战士白求恩在中国工作期间，为抗日战争呕心沥血，无私奉献，并于1939年在河北省唐县牺牲。今年是白求恩逝世83周年，为进一步增进中外青少年对白求恩精神的理解，传承、弘扬伟大的白求恩精神，河北省人民对外友好协会拟联合加拿大白求恩协会举办“白求恩精神永放光芒”征文活动。

三：活动内容：面向中国、加拿大12-18岁青少年开展征文活动，鼓励青少年书写、阐释、传承白求恩精神。举办征文活动颁奖仪式及专题展览，邀请各组织单位领导、国际友人、专家学者、中外媒体、获奖代表等参加。为参赛青少年、各组织单位发放获奖作品集锦，举办获奖作品网络展，在河北省人民政府外事办公室、河北省人民对外友好协会官方网站长期展示，并适时组织线下展览。

作品征集时间：2022年7月1日-10月14日
颁奖仪式及专题展览：2022年11月12日（白求恩逝世83周年纪念日）在中国、加拿大同时举行
五： 作品要求
结合生活实际，围绕白求恩精神撰写一篇作文（中文或英文）。文体自选、题目自拟、紧扣主
题、不得抄袭，中文不少于600字，英文不少于200字。
作品不得侵犯第三人权益（包括：著作权、肖像权、名誉权、隐私权等在内的合法权益）。
六： 作品报送
个人按要求填写作品信息表（见附件1），与原作一起邮寄至河北省石家庄市桥西区师范街81号（收件人：熊老师，电话：13520011195）。加拿大参赛青少年将作品信息表及作品发送至加拿大白求恩协会邮箱： frankzhuchong@hotmail.com。
七： 作品版权
参赛作品版权归属组委会所有，作者享有署名权。组委会单位有权保留作品且拥有全部版权、使用权（包括不限于展出、宣传、出版等公益用途）。
八： 评选方式
成立评审委员会，坚持公平、公正、客观的评审原则，综合参考作品文体、组别、地域，以及主题表达、行文等水平进行评审。
九： 奖项设置
参赛作品评选出一等奖10名，二等奖20名，三等奖50名（具体获奖数量根据参赛作品质量和数量适当调整），其余参赛青少年为优秀奖。为获奖青少年颁发具有中国特色、河北特色的纪念品及精美证书。所有获奖作品将编印成册，在颁奖仪式上发布。

Essay Competition in Commemoration of the Legacies of Dr. Norman Bethune
Hosts: Hebei People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries， Bethune Baiqiuen Canadian Alliance BBCA
Dr. Henry Norman Bethune, a famous Canadian surgeon, devoted his life to the victory of the war against Japanese invasion in China during the 2nd World War. He made relentless efforts during his stay in China to assist the Chinese people and the Eighth Route Army. He lost his life in 1939 in Tang County, Hebei Province, China. To commemorate the 83rd anniversary of Dr. Bethune’s passing away and to help teenagers and young people understand more of the stories of Dr. Bethune, as well as to inherit his legacies and carry forward his great spirits in China and Canada, Hebei People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries in China and Bethune Baiqiuen Canadian Alliance BBCA in Canada are going to co-host an essay competition in commemoration of the legacies of Dr. Norman Bethune with four co-organizers in China and Canada. The following are the detailed explanations:

3. Competition Overview: Teenagers and young people in China and Canada aged between 10-20 are welcomed to participate in the essay competition following the theme “In Commemoration of the Legacies of Dr. Norman Bethune-Dr. Bethune, the hero in my heart.”
There will be an Award Ceremony for the essay competition on November 12, 2022 (the 83rd anniversary of Dr. Bethune’s passing away) in China and Canada simultaneously . The representatives from all hosts, co-organizers, international friends, experts and scholars, Chinese and Canadian media, the prize-winners and the representatives of participants will be invited to attend the ceremony. A book of collection of award-winning essays will be published and issued to winners. An online exhibition will be held to display award-winning essays (available on the official websites of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Hebei Province and the Hebei People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries for a long term), and on-site exhibitions will be organized as appropriate.
4. Timetable:
Event launch: July 2022
Dates of Submission of Essays: From July 1, 2022 to October 14, 2022
Award Ceremony and Exhibition: November 12, 2022 (the 83rd anniversary of Dr. Bethune’s passing away), simultaneously in China and Canada
5. Requirements for Essays
The essay, with a reflection on Dr. Bethune’s legacies and spirits and a reference to real life, should be written either in Chinese or in English without limits in genre and should avoid plagiarism. We will suggest the essay be no less than 600 Chinese characters or no less than 200 English words.
The essay should avoid offending the copy rights, privacy and interests of a third party.
6. Essay Submission
Participants should fill in the Information Form (Attachment 1) and send it together with the essay to Hebei People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries at hebeiyouxie@126.com (Chinese participants) and Bethune Baiqiuen Canadian Alliance BBCA at frankzhuchong@hotmail.com (Canadian participants).
7. Copyrights
The Organizing Committee owns the copyright of all essays, and the writer reserves the right of authorship. The Organizing Committee’s member organizations have the right to retain the essays and own the full copyright and the right to use, for the purpose of public welfare including but not limited to exhibitions, publicity, and publication.
8. Selection Method
A review committee will be established to evaluate and score the essays by comprehensively referring to the genre of writing, theme expression, style of writing, participants’ age and region, and other elements under the evaluation principles of fairness, impartiality and objectivity.
9. Awards
The essay competition will award 10 First Prizes, 20 Second Prizes and 50 Third Prizes, and all the other participants will be awarded a Prize for Excellence. The specific number of prizes may be adjusted according to the quality and quantity of the essays collected. Souvenirs with Chinese and especially Hebei Province’s characteristics and exquisite certificates will be issued to winners and participants. All award-winning essays will be published in a collection and issued at the Award Ceremony.
